Michael Ivey – Chairman and Managing Director

Michael Ivey has been involved in the mineral exploration industry in Western Australia for 20 years since graduating from Curtin University in 1985 with a Bachelor of Applied Science majoring in geology. On graduating, he worked as an Exploration Geologist exploring for gold with Forrest Gold Pty Ltd (CRA) in the Murchison and Eastern Goldfields Regions of Western Australia.

In 1986 Mr Ivey joined Croesus Mining NL as exploration and mine geologist at the Hannan South gold mine south of Kalgoorlie. Over the ensuing 18 years with Croesus, Michael held the positions of Chief Geologist, Exploration Manager and General Manager before becoming Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer in 1997. He led the discovery of the suite of Binduli gold deposits (+1 million ounces) and was responsible for the acquisition and development of the 100,000 ounce per annum Davyhurst Project and the merger with Central Norseman Gold Corporation. Under his stewardship Croesus was awarded the Australian Gold Council, Gold Company of the Year in 2003. Michael was awarded the 2002 Mining Executive of the Year by Gold Mining Journal.

Michael will be responsible for the management of the Castle Minerals’ strategic direction, exploration activities and ongoing project generation.

Mr Ivey was appointed Chairman and Managing Director of Castle Minerals on 5 September 2005.

Campbell Ansell – Non Executive Director

Campbell Ansell is a Chartered Accountant who is also a director of Universal Resources Ltd and De Grey Mining Limited. He is Chairman of Nickel Australia Limited. He is also a non-executive director of several other successful business operations and has had a long term involvement with the resources sector and several government and semi government boards.

Mr Ansell was appointed as a director of Castle Minerals on 5 September 2005.

Michael Ashforth – Non-Executive Director

Michael Ashforth is a Managing Director of Gresham Advisory Partners Limited, one of the leading independent corporate advisory firms in Australia. Mr Ashforth has advised on a wide range of mergers and acquisitions transactions for Australian and international clients across a wide range of industry sectors. He has extensive experience in transactions across the resources sector.

Prior to joining Gresham in early 1997, Mr Ashforth had been a partner in the Mergers & Acquisitions Group of Freehill Hollingdale & Page (now Freehills) and has been involved in local and cross border mergers and acquisitions, fundraising and corporate restructuring work.

Mr Ashforth is a member of the Takeovers Panel, a director of Heytesbury Pty Ltd and a director of various companies within the Gresham group.

Mr Ashforth was appointed as a director of Castle Minerals on 5 September 2005.

Michael Fowler – Exploration Manager

Michael Fowler is a geologist with 17 years industry experience. Michael graduated from Curtin University in 1988 with a Bachelor of Applied Science degree majoring in geology and in 1999 received a Master of Science majoring in Ore Deposit Geology from the University of Western Australia.

On graduating he worked as an Exploration Geologist exploring for gold and base metals for Dominion Mining in the Murchison, Gascoyne and Eastern Goldfields Regions of Western Australia. In 1996 Michael joined Croesus Mining NL and was made Exploration Manager in 1997. He oversaw all exploration for Croesus until June 2004 and was then appointed Business Development Manager and then Managing Director in November 2005. Michael has been responsible for the discovery and development of several significant gold deposits and has discovered over one million reserve ounces of gold during his career.

Dennis Wilkins – Company Secretary

Dennis Wilkins is the principal of DWCorporate, a specialist provider of corporate services to the resources sector. Mr Wilkins has been a director and company secretary of, or acted in a corporate consulting capacity, to listed resource companies for over 20 years. He also spent five years working for a private merchant bank in the United Kingdom, together with resource postings to Indonesia, South Africa and New Zealand in managerial roles.

Mr Wilkins was appointed Company Secretary on 5 September 2005.
