Castle Minerals Limited (Castle) holds an interest in eight gold projects in the West African country of Ghana. The projects are:
The combined project areas total over 9,000 square kilometres, making Castle one of the largest land holders in Ghana.
Wa Project
The 8,200 km² Wa project consists of one large Reconnaissance Licence situated in NW Ghana near the border with Burkina Faso. It is a highly prospective grassroots exploration property with known gold resources identified outside the project boundary. The Julie gold deposit is located within an excised portion of the Wa Project and Azumah Resources Kunche and Bepkong gold deposits are located 50km north. Prior work by Newmont included very wide spaced stream sediment and soil geochemistry that was successful in identifying several areas deemed worthy for follow up sampling. Current work by Castle Minerals confirmed the presence of a laterally continuous high grade quartz vein at its Julie West gold prospect in northern Ghana. In total 21 holes were drilled with 19 reporting gold mineralization from a single quartz reef that outcrops for over 500m.

Antubia Project
The Antubia Project is situated in the Sefwi Belt, immediately adjacent to the Ivory Coast border, and comprises Birimian meta-volcanic and meta-sedimentary rocks. The project incorporates five significant gold soil geochemical anomalies that readily justify further assessment. The Antubia mine (excised from the Antubia Licence) represents the most significant historical workings in the Antubia area, having reportedly produced 18,690oz between 1912 and 1939. The trend defined by the Antubia gold soil anomaly represents encouraging results over a 5km strike length. This trend has never been systematically tested by trenching or drilling.

Banso Project
The Banso Project is located within the highly prospective Ashanti gold belt of southwest Ghana. The project is situated within the Tarkwaian Series sedimentary rocks that unconformably overlie the marginally older Proterozoic Birimian System of the West African Shield. Gold mineralisation within the Birimian is largely associated with major shear zones conforming to the regional fabric. The project area is located within 20km of Newmont’s 8Moz Akyem deposit which was discovered by the same soil sampling program that defined the Banso anomaly. Follow up trenching at Banso resulted in encouraging intercepts of 9.85m at 9.19g/t, 5.4m at 1.57g/t, 13.25m at 1.56g/t, 23m at 2.33g/t and 8.10m at 4.34g/t Au, but no further work was completed as the focus of work shifted to the higher priority Akyem area.

Sunyani Basin Project
The Sunyani Basin Project is the most northerly Castle project. The project area comprises Upper Birimian meta-volcanic and meta-sedimentary rocks. The licences have received limited exploration. The five identified prospects are mainly defined by artisanal pits and references in historic reports. The Koraso soil anomaly represents the only prospect defined by modern exporation techniques that generated an encouraging gold in soil anomaly that readily justifies further assessment.

Bondaye and Akoko Project
The Bondaye and Akoko project areas cover part of the southwest portion of the Ashanti Belt within a broad succession of Birimian meta-volcanic and meta-sedimentary rocks. Both projects have received little modern day exploration, despite being located in proximity to world-class deposits.
